Omschrijving werkzaamheden Engineer Heavy LiftingLong-lead items, such as the power generation equipment, the thrusters and the DP system, were ordered in 2007. In 2008, the high-tensile steel for the jacket and topsides lift systems was ordered. The detail design of the hull was completed in May 2010, while the lift systems and the pipelay system are foreseen to be ordered in the spring and summer of 2011. When built, it will have a topsides lift capacity of 48,000 t and a jacket lift capacity of 25,000 t. The pipelay tension capacity will be 2,000 t, doubling the capacity. Delivery of the completed single-lift and pipelay vessel is expected at the end of 2013, ready for offshore operations in early 2014. This unit is responsible for all project preparatory work in relation to Pieter Schelte including design, analysis, working procedures, material take off and offshore engineering support. The Engineer Heavy Lifting reports directly to the Unit Head Heavy Lifting.
